Impressive Gorge Landgrafenschlucht near Eisenach
The rock formations of the Gorge Landgrafenschlucht are very impressive. After the wide entrance the gorge narrows. On a narrow path, which partly leads over steps and small wooden bridges, impressive green mossy cliffs, many small watercourses and crosswise lying tree trunks accompany the way through the approx. 2 km long gorge. Many rock formations are of volcanic origin.The rocky gorge is protected as a geological natural monument.
