The Stenshuvud National Park (stone head) is located on the Baltic coast of Skåne, just a few kilometres south of the town of Kivik.
The landscape is characterized by the white beaches of the Hanö Bay, on the adjacent heath landscapes on the coast some Haidbuchen and wild orchid species thrive. Also the bird life is very rich there.

In the park there is a small visitor center, Stenshuvud Naturum, which shows an exhibition and gives worth knowing information about the geology, flora, fauna and history of the national park. Numerous hiking trails, some even suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs, lead through the park and to the summit of Stenshuvud. It is 97 metres above sea level and has always been a natural navigation mark for navigation. From here you can also see the island of Bornholm on a clear day.

The Stenshuvud is associated with countless legends about giants and trolls who allegedly live here.

Public transport

By train to Simrishamn station, then by express bus no. 3 to Kivik and from there on foot or by bike to the National Park.

By road

Coming from Simrishamn on Riksvägen 9 to Svabesholm, there turn right to Stenshuvud.
