Kosmac Fortress from the period of Austro-Hungarian rule is located on the hill above Budva. This fortress is best preserved and the most beautiful viewpoint.
The fort was built in 1841, and in 1860 barracks and position for one battery were built on Kosmac, in order to be later added a three-side defensive barracks. Today's appearance of the fortress gets in the early 20th century, more precisely in 1909.
The Kosmac fortress is immovably culturally protected by the Republic Institute for the Protection of Cultural Property from August 22, 1964.
