Tromsø is a city situated in Northern Norway which is well-known as “Paris of the north” or “the gate to the Arctic Ocean”. It is one of the greatest locations in the world to feel north nature and observe northern lights or midnight sun.
Besides of that, Tromsø presents wonderful architecture of historical city center. It contains the highest number of old wooden houses in Northern Norway. Tromsø city center can admire with combination of different architecture. Famous Tromsø Cathedral and Church of our Lady were built in neo-Gothic style. The colorful Swiss style with its ornamental figures can be found in apartment buildings and villas on the suburb of the center. In the past, kiosks inspired by Middle-Eastern style were literally on every corner and nowadays many of them have been successfully preserved.
