The Koli national park is one of the most popular destinations in Finland. Rocky hills, clear lakes, and fairytale-like woods invite you to actively and vividly experience this unique landscape throughout the year. Several trails and hiking tracks have been built explicitly for this purpose and lead through the idyllic scenery of the Koli National Park.
Koli National Park was founded in 1991 in order to protect the landscape, wildlife, tradition and culture of the region and offers visitors the opportunity to explore the landscape on hiking trails and lookout points. Besides the highest point of the park, Ukko-Koli, the area comprises waterfalls, sandy beaches and stone caves. Apart from hiking tours, you can also horse riding or or go on ski tours. Koli National Park offers its visitors forests in close vicinity to Lake Pielinen, flowers and plants of all kinds as well as hill chains with good lookout points.
