The Drees or mineral spring "Im Bendersbachtal" is located on the Karl-Kaufmann hiking trail and can be reached via a wooden footbridge on the edge of Heckenmünster.
The red iron stone gives the sparkling water a very special taste. The stream near which the Dreesquelle springs is called Bendersbach and has several springs and spring arms in Heidweiler. The Bendersbach is a natural and very clean flowing water and flows through the district of Heckenmünster from west to east before it flows into the Salm in Salmtal.
