Eineguntkopf
The Eineguntkopf belongs to the Allgäu Nagelfluhkette and is located directly on the border between Germany and Austria, between the communities of Oberstaufen and Hittisau. This is also the reason why the mountain has two different names. One derived from the Einegunt-Alpe on the German north side called Eineguntkopf and the other derived from the Rohne-Alpe on the Austrian south side called Rohnehöhe.
The slopes of the mountain are used as mountain pastures in the Somme and some alps can be found in the meadows. The Eineguntkopf is a popular hiking destination. It is crossed especially in connection with a ridge hike over the Nagelfluhkette, but there is also a direct path from the Falkenhütte to the summit. In winter, ski tourers are on the north slope and west side of the summit.
