Elisenberg vineyard hut is located south-east of Mülheim town centre directly on country road 158. It is a one-and-a-half-storey hip roofed building in a small walled yard. 1823 is the year of construction noted at the entrance. It is a massive rendered building in a complex neo-classical form. Completely and unalteredly preserved.
Unique views can be experienced at the evening wine tastings in the “Elisenhäuschen”. Situated high above the “Veldenzer Elisenberg” steep slope vineyard, a truly panoramic view of the vineyards unfurls. Shortly after sunset, at the twilight hour, the first stars twinkling in the sky compete with the wine in the glasses. The building from 1832 and the vineyard below bear the name “Elise” in honor of Louise, former Queen of Prussia. None other than famous wine expert Stuart Pigott himself described this vineyard as an excellent Riesling site. Cheers! Here's to you, Elise!
