Narbonne
But Narbonne has much more to offer as its city centre holds treasures that are worth a stop.
- The Cathedral of St-Just-and-St-Pasteur, which is singled out by its unique choir, whose vaults rise to more than 40 metres high. Built between 1272 and 1340, it remained unfinished.
- The Palace - Archbishops' Museum which takes you into the former chapel of the Madeleine, to discover the 13th century wall paintings.
- The Basilica of Saint Paul, the first Gothic church in Narbonne and one of the oldest in the Midi. It is built on the tomb of the first bishop of Narbonne, Saint-Paul.
You can also discover Narbonne by strolling along the Canal de la Robine, which is a "communication arm" between the Canal du Midi and the Mediteranean and is a Unesco World Heritage Site.
