Places to visit in Greenland

The settlement has a small supermarket with groceries and other necesities located next to Hotel Narsarsuaq.

About half-way on route to Qooroq Glacier you pass close to Narsarsuaq Glacier and you'll get a great view of it.

Ilua river is a great place for arctic char fishing. You can buy a fishing license online here.

Norsemen/Vikings immigrated to South Greenland from Iceland at the end of 900 AD. Brattahlid (Qassiarsuk) is a settlement that famous viking Eric The Red founded. 

At the end of Narsarsuaq valley there is a moderately steep passage just left to a waterfall/stream where permanent ropes are attached for safer ascent.

Naajat Mountain (590 m), with its mast on top, is a distinctive landmark when leaving Sillisit and moving towards Narsaq.

At ca. 500 m above sea level you have a great view over the Qooroq glacier all the way from the ice sheet and down to the Qooroq Fjord.

One of the must-sees in the area is the Narsarsuaq flower valley on route to the Narsarsuaq Glacier and Qooroq Glacier. 

Just outside Narsarsuaq on the first part of the route you'll find this beautiful glacial stream which runs from the Narsarsuaq Glacier located a few miles to the north-east.
