The mountains of Bavaria and Tyrol are among the most beautiful natural spectacles in the Alps. Gorges and deep valleys lead up to the alpine pastures and peaks of the Wetterstein and Karwendel mountains. You will cross the Karwendel National Park up to the Nordkette, where you will take the new cable car down to Innsbruck. You will stay in comfortable cabins surrounded by a unique tranquillity.
Characteristics/Requirements: Mountain hiking tour: Demanding trekking tour with tours of 5 to 7 hours. Some of them hike in the high alpine region and therefore hiking experience is absolutely necessary for the individual tour. Sure-footedness, no dizziness and good physical condition are prerequisites for this tour! Bring your own sleeping bag!

Day 2: Garmisch - Höllentalklamm - Kreuzeck - cable car down to the valley
Deep into the Höllentalklamm gorge to the Höllentalangeralm at the foot of the Zugspitze. Along the high trail high above the gorge to Hupfleitenjoch and across alpine meadows to Kreuzeck. Take the cable car down to the valley. Overnight stay at the hotel.

3rd day: Garmisch - Partnachklamm - Kälbersteig - Schachen
First we go through another ravine to the foot of the weatherstone. A hiking trail leads you steeply up to the Königsweg to Schachen Castle. You can expect a wonderful view of the Zugspitze. Overnight stay in the hut with breakfast. No luggage transfer!
9.5 km, approx. 4.5 hours walking time and 1,500 vertical meters
Day 4: Schachen - Meilerhütte - Leutaschtal - Scharnitz
In the morning you hike up to the Meilerhütte, where you then hike down into the Leutasch Valley. Comfortable walk in the valley before we cross another small pass and gorge to Scharnitz. Overnight stay in a hotel/pension in Scharnitz.
17 km, approx. 7.5 hours walking time and 910 m uphill and 1820 m downhill. Alternatively you can take the bus/train from Leutasch to Scharnitz
Day 5: Scharnitz - Transfer Isar origin - Hallerangeralm - summit tour
Transfer deep into the Karwendel valley. Afterwards a leisurely hike to the Halleranger Alm, where you arrive after approx. 2 hours. Make yourself a cosy day or hike up to Sunntiger Spitze. Overnight in a very comfortable hut with breakfast. No luggage transfer!
8 or 15 km, 2.5 or 5 hours walking time, 550 or 1,550 vertical meters
Day 6: Hallerangeralm - Karwendel crossing - Nordkette - Innsbruck
A wonderful high-level trail leads you over several yokes (passes) to the famous Nordkette. A small but steeply ascending section requires sure-footedness and endurance. Afterwards you hike to the mountain station of Hafelekar and drive down to Innsbruck like an emperor. Overnight stay Innsbruck with half board
12.5 km, 6 hours walking time, 1,150 vertical meters up and 720 vertical meters down
Day 7: Individual departure from Innsbruck
Dates: Arrival Sunday and Monday from June to September from 2 persons
