What to bring

The meeting point for the tour is at the Fjellrittet base, located at Beitovegen 128, 2950 Skammestein, Norway.
The closest town is Beitostølen. It is located in the middle of southern Norway, easily accessible from either Bergen or Oslo. The scenic routes Sognefjellsvegen and Valdresflye are perfect entry points to Beitostølen. Sections of the roads are closed from November to April due to snow. Check Norwegian Scenic Routes to ensure the roads are open.
From Oslo, take Valdresekspressen. The journey from Oslo to Beitostølen takes around 3.5 hours.
From Bergen and Lillehammer, take the Øst-Vestekspressen bus to Fagernes Station. Buses depart daily from Bergen and Lillehammer around 9am. Once in Fagernes, change buses to the Valdresekspressen, which takes you straight to Beitostølen in 45 minutes. The Valdresekspressen bus departs from Fagernes to Beitostølen 6 times a day.
