Step aboard! The captain and their crew welcomes you to a beautiful sea journey. The scheduled services take you to Lighthouse Island Tankar. One-way journey takes 1,5 hours. The boat has a capacity for up to 177 passengers.
Since the 16th century Tankar has provided shelter to the fishermen and seal hunters and guided ships safely to the Kokkola Harbour. The lighthouse was built in 1889 and is still in use. Today Tankar is a varied travel destination. Leave the stress and hurry on the mainland and experience the peaceful nature and the unique history of traditional Finnish island life.The charming village has old fishermen’s houses, a café and a guest cabin. And watching over it all, there is an old wooden church built in 1754. Soak up the atmosphere for longer by staying on the island.
