Corsica Climbing Tour - 9 days to experience the wild beauty of Corsica!
The deeply cut rivers offer a welcome cooling and the one or other leap in the cliffs has to be dared. The dreamlike granite of the island, which even Lynn Hill has described as "world class", offers everything that makes your climbing heart beat faster, from climbing gardens to multi-pitch lengths. Of course one or the other day can be used for a cultural program, because on the island there are not only rocks...
region
Inthe western Mediterranean, surrounded by a shining blue sea and smaller offshore islands, lies Corsica. The mountains are wildly rugged. Exposed to the strong winds of the sea, the rocks form sculptures with an artistic appearance. During the climbing trip we visit Corsica areas like the Restonica Valley or the Bavella Pass, where we find countless possibilities for climbing.
programm
Day 1: Meeting in Bastia. Sightseeing and program discussion of the following days.
Day 2-4: Morning drive to Corte, the absolute centre of climbing in Corsica. But don't worry! You are usually alone when climbing! The fairytale-like Restonica Valley offers a large selection of beautiful climbing areas. Wonderful freshwater pools in a gurgling stream invite you to swim! The climbing trip Corsica offers this pleasure again and again! Welcome to Corse!
Day 5: Drive on to Proprianu in the southeast. Unique landscapes and a fascinating change from rugged mountain formations to breathtaking bays. On the way to Proprianu we pass the beautiful climbing area of A Richiusa!
Day 6: From Proprianu we head south and visit a dreamlike situated boulder spot directly at the sea. Playfully we climb here on rocks with the typical Corsican rock formations, beside us the sea rushes. In the evening we continue to the spectacularly situated seafaring town of Bonifaziu.
Day 7-8: Continue to Zonza, where we spend the next two nights. Ideal starting point for climbing on Col de Bavella and in the Taravu area. Here we are back in the mountains again, a scenic contrast to climbing at the sea!
Day 9: Return to Bastia and farewell at the airport.
