On Germany's first alpine premium trail, the “Luftigen Grat,” we hike from the Hochgratbahn to the Imbergbahn and enjoy the view of the Allgäu Alps.
This alpine premium trail “Luftiger Grat” leads from the mountain station of the Hochgratbahn to the mountain station of the Imbergbahn. Along the way, you hike along magnificent paths over a ridge that connects three small peaks. The views are magnificent. Three mountain inns invite you to stop for a bite to eat. Due to the partly exposed path, typical alpine dangers are to be expected. Good physical condition is recommended.

- Please bring sturdy and comfortable footwear, suitable for uneven forest and meadow paths, which can be wet and muddy depending on the weather conditions
- Takes place daily and in any weather conditions; no refunds will be given due to inclement weather

- Approx. 4-hour-long guided hike in easy to moderately difficult terrain
- Depending on the season, there is a possibility to collect herbs, berries and mushrooms

By train to Oberstaufen station, continue by bus to Steibis and via Lanzenbach to the Hochgratbahn valley station.Getting there
