Nature trails in Southwest Finland

Vain neljän kilometrin päässä Salon keskustasta kohoaa ikimetsien peittämä Vuohensaari. Lähde patikoimaan, piknikille tai yöpymään rauhaisalle saarelle. Saaren uudistetut luontopolut johtavat vehreisiin lehtoihin, rantakalliolle ja historiakohteisiin.

The western section of the island of Holma is part of the Archipelago National Park. The nature and traditional landscapes of Holma can be explored on the island’s two nature trails, the Gylpö and Linsno Nature Trails. The Gölpo Nature Trail is a 2 km circle trail, whose information boards present the barren rocky nature and local history.

In the summer, visitors may encounter sheep and Finncattle in the forest.

Högland, the highest island in the Archipelago National Park, rises 41 metres above sea level. On the island’s nature trails, you can explore traces of the continental ice sheet on the landscape, such as roche moutonée, rock striations and glacial errata as well as the life of island crofters. The island’s observation tower offers a beautiful view of Gullkrona bay.

The Geological Nature Trail in Kasnäs takes you on a journey into the world of volcanoes, mountains and the Ice Age.
