Panoramic route of intermediate difficulty that binds outdoor activities and culture. Enchanting viev on Val Rendena.
The hermitage is situated at 1226 meters a.s.l. and is famous for a popular legend, according to which the hermitage was inhabited by one of the last hermits. According to the popular imagination, this hermit lived on the bread that a tame bear was used to bring to him and his death was announced by the blooming in January of the local flowers called "maggiociondolo". It is a very fascinating route, in particular during spring and autumn, when the wood has bright colors. It is not a difficult route, apart from two exposed stretches even if well protected by iron ropes, and it is suitable for children from 8/10 years old too.
Watch out for the last stretch of the path, steep and often a bit wet, protected by a useful iron rope.
Mountaineering boots, hat and windbreakers are highly recommended.
