Long-distance hikes in Lower Saxony

The fairytale-like, mystical world of the Harz can best be explored on the Harzer-Hexen-Stieg. The legendary Brocken is just one of the many highlights of this exciting long-distance hiking trail that crosses the Harz National Park.

The Wendland Trail is part of the Wendland circular route and takes us on a journey of just under 70 km through the Lower Saxony Elbe floodplain biosphere reserve, the cultural landscape of the High Drawehn and the Breeser Grund nature reserve.

Der Wittekindsweg führt uns von Osnabrück über die Höhen des Wiehengebirges bis nach Porta Westfalica, wo die Weser sich ihren Weg in die norddeutsche Tiefebene bricht.

The German section of the European long-distance hiking trail E1 runs well signposted once across Germany – from Flensburg in the north to Konstanz in the south.

The European Long-distance Trail E6 is an ambitious project that will one day run continuously from northern Finland to Turkey. On the German section we hike with gradually increasing gradients from north to south.

From north to south – once through the Lüneburg Heath.

The 3rd section begins at the Reinsdorf cemetery and leads via Reinsen to Beckedorf. Behind the "Münchhausener Berg" to Beckedorf, the hiking trail is identical to the "Roswithaweg" (XR). The next intermediate destination is Horsten. From here it goes to Bad Nenndorf.

Bewaldete Wege und einige sehr schöne Aussichtpunkte säumen den Weg von Dissen nach HalleWestfalen. Ein leckerer Zwischenstopp ist die Lebkuchenstadt Borgholzhausen mit dem Ladencafé Schulze. Auch die Burg Ravensberg ist auf jeden Fall sehenswert und lädt zu einer Rast ein.
