Long distance hiking trails in Indien

This circuit trek starts from the Manu-Mandir temple in Old Manali town and passes through the dense forests of oak, pine, chestnut, and walnuts inside the famous Manali Wildlife Sanctuary and finally returns back to Manu Mandir.  

A widely unknown trekking route which crosses a difficult pass to arrive at a remote and marvellous mountain lake – only a few hours away from Leh (Minimum duration: 6 days from/to Leh)

Chandra Taal which translated to  "Moon Lake" is located in the Lahaul and Spiti districts of Himachal Pradesh. The stunningly beautiful lake and the adjoining hiking area are a favourite destination for hikers, trekkers and nature lovers. 

Chandrashila is actually the peak of the Chandranath mountain on which the Tungnath temple is situated. The grand Himalayan panorama can be seen from the Chandrashila peak. This trekking route is very beautiful.

Pushpagiri is also known as Kumar Parvat or Subramanya Hills. It is located in Somwarpet taluk of Kodagu district. With a height of 5,617 ft, this mountain is the fourth highest peak in Karnataka.

Kareri Lake Trek is a one-day alpine trek located in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh that attracts hikers from all over the world. Situated at almost 3000 meters (9800 ft), Kareri lake is a shallow freshwater glacial lake formed by the melting snow of the Dhauladhar Mountains. 

A classical trekking route which still can impress by its beauty and its nativeness (Minimum duration: 5 days from/to Leh)  

Starting from Vashisht (a scenic village) to Bhrigu lake (a sacred ancient lake), this beautiful and serene hiking trail offers a genuine experience of the hilly landscapes of the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh in India.  

Der Ausblick vom Gipfel des Chamser Kangri ist absolut unvergesslich: Man befindet sich mehr als 2000 Meter über dem Hochland von Changtang und über dem tiefen Blau des Tso Moriri, dessen Ufer selbst bereits auf einer Höhe von 4500 Metern liegen. Im Nordosten sieht man bei klarem Wetter bis zu 200 km weit nach Tibet hinein, auf der gegenüber liegende Seite des Sees reihen sich die 6000er-Gipfel der Mentok-Kette aneinander und im Süden leuchten die schneeweißen Gipfel und Gletscher von Rupshu. Der Chamser Kangri ist weltweit einer der höchsten Berggipfel, die völlig ohne Gletscherkontakt erreicht werden können. Je nach der aktuellen Permit-Situation eignet er sich daher auch besonders gut für individuell organisierte Klein- und Kleinstgruppen.

Eine landschaftlich außerordentlich eindrucksvolle Tour quer durch die Zanskar-Range, bei der man eine Woche lang weder eine feste Siedlung noch eine Straße oder Piste zu Gesicht bekommt. Als besonderer Höhenpunkt und Abschluss bietet sich ein spektakulärer Ausblick auf die schneebedeckten 7000er-Gipfel des Nun-Kun-Massivs.
