The fact that South Tyrol is one of the most popular mountain biking regions in Europe, along with Austria and the Netherlands, is not without reason: the infrastructure with signposted routes, rental bike stations and bike-friendly accommodation is exemplary, the route through vineyards and apple orchards, shady deciduous forests and colorful meadows varied and the view on steep Rising peaks of the Dolomites and their gentle little brothers and sisters. Another plus: the mild climate. Nowhere in the Alps does the bike season last as long as around Bolzano. From the end of March (and until the beginning of November), pleasure cyclists traditionally pedal more and more in the valley with fervor. There are enough attractive destinations and routes. These attract events for hobby cyclists and bike fanatics.
