Autumn is the ideal season for hiking in Rhineland-Palatinate: with sturdy shoes you start your tour in the early morning, while the haze of fog covers your clothes - the perfect cooling for a steep ascent! With every meter of altitude you climb past the colored leaves of the vines, the fog becomes a little thinner and soon the warm autumn sun gently strokes your face.
