You can mark your favorite places on the map as points and then name, describe, categorize and add pictures to them.
How to create a point:
On your profile page
From “My page“ → “Library“ → “Points“ → “New point“
Choose the place on the map you want to mark.
A window will then open in which you can assign a category to your point and add a title, description and media. Your media gallery will open when selected. You can choose between a previously uploaded picture/video or add a new picture/video.
Select “Save“ to finish creating your point.
The point will now be shown on the map with its accompanying symbol.
When using the app, you have the option of creating a point on the map by pressing and holding on the spot you wish to mark.
Good to know
Your points are only visible to you and whilst they cannot be published, you can share them with friends.
In contrast to waypoints, a point is not linked to a route and can be set independently. Please note, however, that a point can also have the category “waypoint“ (just like the categories “mountain hut“ or “viewpoint“) assigned to it. These are completely unrelated to the waypoints linked to routes.
Click on your name in the top right followed by “Points“ in “My content“ to call up all the points you have created.
Mark a specific place or particular intersection along a route as a “waypoint“ and then record relevant information. Four waypoint symbols are available to denote which way to go or how a place is of specific interest.
