Willkommen auf der Heßhütte!


Eine Schutzhütte des Alpenverein Austria.
[Bn]Die Heßhütte wurde von der Alpinen Gesellschaft "Die Ennstaler" im Jahr 1893 erbaut und nach dem Gesäusepionier Heinrich Heß benannt. Im Jahr 1930 wurde die Hütte von der ÖAV-Sektion Austria übernommen. Die Hütte erhielt Ihre heutige Form im Jahr 1996. 2004 wurde sie mit einer vollbiologischen Kläranlage auf einen besonders umweltfreundlichen Standard gebracht.

Die Heßhütte liegt in der Hochtorgruppe am Ennsecksattel, inmitten von Zinödl, Planspitze und Hochtor.
Sie ist von vier Seiten erreichbar. Von Hieflau und Johnsbach aus einfach über Wanderwege, von Gstatterboden aus über den anspruchsvollen Wasserfallweg (gesicherter Steig) oder von der Haindlkarhütte aus über den Peternpfad (ungesichert, Schwierigkeitsgrad 1 bis 2).
