DAV mountain hut on the Hochgrat near Oberstaufen/Steibis
The Staufner Haus is located about 80 hm below the Hochgratbahn summit station. The hut is operated by the German Alpine Club (DAV) Oberstaufen/Lindenberg section. It is open continuously from May 1st to the end of October and offers bed and breakfast. Warm cuisine is also served from 11:30 am to 8:00 pm. From Christmas to mid-March, the Staufner Haus is open Thursdays to Sundays.

Opening hours

Closed April, November and December until Christmas, otherwise open all year round.

Public transport

By train to Oberstaufen station, continue by bus to the Hochgratbahn in Steibis and take the mountain railroad to the summit station. From there, on foot to the Staufner Haus.

Getting there

On the B308 to Oberstaufen, turn left to Weißach/Steibis and behind the village Weißach, turn left again towards Steibis. Pass the village and continue to follow the road to the valley station of the Hochgratbahn.
