In Eastern Styria lush mountain pastures, gentle hills, wide and sunny valleys and light forests await hikers from all over the world. Along creeks and through wild and romantic gorges you can hike wonderfully. The apple or Roman wine route offers good culinary delights, and numerous taverns along the hiking trails invite you to take a break. In Austria's Garden you can enjoy eventful guided tours through the natural parks Almenland and Pöllauer Tal and visit castles.
The mire nature trail at the Teichalmsee
The moor nature trail leads around the Teichalmsee in the Almenland nature park. Big and small adventurers explore one of Austria's last mountain pine bogs on this tour. Wooden planks take you into the high moor and on numerous display boards you will get to know the special features of this natural landscape. Some viewpoints are also waiting for interested hikers.

Tours with a view
Promising tours lead through Austria's Garden, Eastern Styria. On the Devil's Stone Circuit hikers climb the local mountain of Fischbach and are immediately introduced to the legends surrounding this unusual cultural monument consisting of three rock blocks one above the other. The panoramic view from the summit extends from Hochschwab via Veitsch and Rax to the hilly landscape of Eastern Styria and Graz's local mountain Schöckl. On the Siebenkögel Sommeralm circular trail and the Pucher Panoramaweg, the eyes are also spoiled with fantastic views.
Ways along the water
Hiking trails along the water are particularly beautiful. When the stream ripples quietly alongside or a rushing waterfall rushes over the cliffs, you feel right in the middle of nature and far away from everyday life. On the 7 Bacherl Weg seven bridges are crossed and the water is a constant companion and on the Grosse Raabklamm circular trail the longest gorge in Austria is crossed on a beautiful water hiking trail.

On the trail of regional history
The Hirschbirnwanderweg is very regional. The Pöllauer Tal Nature Park in eastern Styria is home to the deer pear, whose name refers to autumn, because only then can it be harvested. The Burgthannerweg also brings hikers closer to the idyll of the region. On a beautiful path we pass through rural villages and shady forests and also an apple garden. The Formbacherlandweg is particularly suitable for cultural travellers. This tour takes you to the three castles of Aichberg, Kirchberg and Reitenau.
