Hikes in Wyre

This is a walk with a watery theme as  follows parts of the Rivers Wyre and Calder,as well as a pretty stretch of the Lancaster Canal.

A walk that takes in the magnificent view point of Nicky Nook and the lovely woodland walk through the Holme Wood at the foot of Grizedale Fell.

An unusual walk on the flank of the Forest of Bowland starting at the picturesque miniature mill town of Calder Vale. The route follows little used paths through farmland, woodland and copses with a constant backdrop of the beautiful Bleasdale fells

Over the top of various fells near Chipping, following beautiful streams (with occasional crossings required!) and back up peaty paths to the moor. Full of views over Preston, Lancaster and Bowland, and with some great spots to stop for a picnic next to a burbling stream if you're being leisurely.

This walk completes the 3 walks undertaken on the Fair Snape side of Bowland

Starting from the popular visitor centre ,the walk gets off with a cracking view from the trig point of the vast Lancashire plain rolling out towards the Fylde coast and Blackpool
