Wiltshire is traversed by the Wessex Ridgeway, a long-distance walking route. The Wessex Ridgeway connects Lyme Regis on the Dorset coast to Marlborough in Wiltshire. It is the southernmost point of the Greater Ridgeway walk, which connects the beaches of Dorset and Norfolk by way of the Ridgeway, the Icknield Way, and the Peddar's Way.
