No matter which Camino Natural you choose, you can discover the diversity of Spain. Each long-distance hiking trail has its own special features.
But the various Vías Verdes - green paths - also allow you to immerse yourself in the nature of Spain. If you are on a Via Verde, you will be walking along former railway lines. Around 120 greenways lead you through the whole of Spain, from short to long.

Beautiful hikes on the Balearic and Canary Islands
In addition to the mainland, the Canary Islands and Balearic Islands also offer wonderful hikes. The highest peak in Spain is the island volcano Pico del Teide on Tenerife with a height of 3,718 metres. From there you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Canary Islands and the Atlantic Ocean.
Pilgrimage on the Way of St James
The most famous hiking trail in Spain is the Camino de Santiago. The classic Camino Francés leads you from the Pyrenees through northern Spain to Santiago de Compostela. The hike is divided into several stages, covering a total of around 800 km.

WARNING: much of this route does not exist!! It is no longer maintained. Adventurous people can still follow the path, but this required going through a barbed-wire fence, then scrambling down a steep slope on an unmarked path.
Note that the most beautiful part of this route is easily accessible directly from the village: just follow this route in the opposite (counterclockwise) direction all the way to the waterfall, then retrace your steps back to the village.
