Early July 2021 still in covid restricted activities, saw us walking from the centre of Ludlow, through the delightful streets and over the old bridges over the River Teme. Climbing steadily through mostly managed woodland with excellent views over the surrounding countryside and of course Ludlow.

A circumnavigation of the quarry, giving superb wide views of the surrounding countryside. The Malvern Hills, Black Mountains, Cotswolds - the list goes on. Clee Hill has been quarried extensively and the predominant local landscape is of spoil heaps. Mostly now rewilding, but there is still activity in the quarry. A very quiet area though.

Stunning scenery; open moors, craggy tops, beautiful varied views of hills and meadows. The pub at Cardington is wonderfully old school and definitely worth a stop. The walk from there back is much less steep but equally beautiful. Two churches en route.
