9 Edges walk by Elaine

Tough walk but very rewarding, it is a little bit over 35km all told and takes around 10 hours if you want to have a break at the 2/3 point at Longshaw park (great coffee, cakes & icecream) and a much needed water top up point. It also involves 1200m of climb a little bit more than the route description indicates! Our favorite edge was Gardoms Edge with soft evening sunlight slanting through the silver birch.

Pleasant walk. Good paths and some local history. Unfortunately bridleway from Dale Road to Windy bank closed when we did it, so had to walk back along the road and not go to Agden reservoir.
