Upper Lusatian Mountain Trail for Mountaineers
The Upper Lusatian Mountains inspire with their unique cultural landscape and varied low mountain range with impressive granite mountains, volcanic hilltops, striking sandstone mountains and picturesque valleys at altitudes of 200 to 800 metres. The certified quality hiking trail Oberlausitzer Bergweg runs in six daily stages through the Dreiländereck from Neunkirch to Zittau. The medium-difficulty route is around 114 kilometres long in total.
The individual hiking tours include summit ascents of the Upper Lusatian mountains Bieleboh (499 m), Kottmar (583 m), Valtenberg (587 m), Hochwald (749 m) and Lausche (793 m). Along the way you will encounter imposing rock formations, idyllic villages, picturesque valleys and wonderful vantage points with breathtaking views of the landscape. Numerous mountain inns provide you with culinary specialities from the region during the hikes.
On the ridge trail between the Ore Mountains and Vogtland
An absolute dream hike in Saxony takes you through the Ore Mountains and the Vogtland. On the Kammweg you can finally switch off and relax in an idyllic - and less crowded - landscape. The long-distance hiking trail consists of 17 stages with a total length of almost 300 kilometres, but if you are more in the mood for a short (half-) day tour, the trail can also be hiked in individual stages. There are easy hiking trails for which neither a high level of fitness nor special equipment is required, as well as longer hikes for the more ambitious.
Whether in its entirety or in individual stages, this long-distance hiking trail is always worthwhile!
