The old Avers road runs from the Roffla Gorge into the high valley of the Avers to Juf, the highest settlement in Europe to be occupied all year round. The historical transportation route was originally built in 1895 and, over the past few years, it has been re-instated as a hiking trail.
Excellent day hike that can be easily accessed from Milan by train. Brilliant views from the top of Monte San Giorgio compensate for the fact that you spend the ascent and the descent entirely in the bushes.
A great little walk starting at Tignale/Gardola, following the Camino Tignale through the village of Aer, and onto a spectacular waterfall on the Torrente Valle Di Barnico with beautiful views overlooking Lago Di Garda along the way.
