Hiking trails in Lithuania

Travelling along the route you will pass a wooden sculpture trail on the lake Lūšiai, admire the beautiful nature of pine forests and cozy ethnographic villages of Meironai and Gaveikėnai.

The hike offers a half or full day getaway from the city to the medieval town of Trakai surrounded by many lakes and thick forests.

A very spectacular 7 km circular walk along the Baltic sea shore. Walk through a thick forest, discover ancient hillfort, WW2 fortifications and the cliff of the Dutchman's Cap.    

Žemaitija national park is known as the most mystical national park in Lithuania. The park territory is covered with fir forests which are populated by a huge number of protected plant and animal species.

Route between Plateliai and Plokstine is one of the most popular tourism trails in Zemaitija National park with interesing sightseeing objects, natural and cultural valuables and scenic panoramas among the lakes and forests.

On this route a few natural and cultural highlights of the Curonian spit will be visited. Start your route at the Amber bay, continue into the primaveal forest, pass along the mystical wooden sculptures and guide yourself through an acid forest shaped by one of the biggest Cormorant colony in Europe.

Today's route will lead you through the white sand dunes, magic pine forests and along shore of the Curonian lagoon. 

Vilnius has many opportunities for outdoors lovers. A short train ride from the city center, Pavilniai regional park will surprise you with the diverse nature and spectacular views.  

During an easy walk from Preila to Nida you will climb the highest dune of the Curonian Spit (Vecekrugas), pass by the civil airfield and finish at the famous German author, Nobel prize winner Thomas Mann house.

On the hike around Nida you will see not only fascinating natural sites and sceneries, but also historicaly significant places.
