Hikes in Leinster

A loop walk taking in the tops of Tonduff, War Hill and Djouce Mountain in Wicklow, Ireland.The first part of the walk is relatively hard, with a steep climb up Tonduff, and much of it over rough heather and bog.

Rejoining the Wicklow Way from Enniskerry, you'll have a challenging day ahead on boardwalk, through forested tracks and along mountainside with plenty of ups and downs as you continue toward Lough Dan. 

A quick up and back to the summit of Luggala from the Piers Gate (close to the road side parking area on the R759).

This route takes in two Wicklow peaks and two of the most recognisable lakes in the region.

Lovely forest tracks and short run to Sugarloaf top. Great 360 views of Lug and valley surrounds.

Girley Bog is a site of real conservation significance as it comprises raised bog, a rare habitat. This walk includes deciduous woodland, coniferous forestry and raised bogland and follows bog roads, forestry tracks and woodland trails, passing a motte while White Lough is only a short detour away

Pleasant 2-hour loop walk climbing 400m to top of Maulin from South East and Westerly descent

Good 20 minute walk. One of the few areas where you can let your dog off the leash. Not recommended if you want to avoid dogs. Tarmac paths. Cafe on route for coffee. Great views of Dublin and Dublin bay
