The White Cliffs of Dover are perhaps best known as an iconic landmark, with the white chalk face serving as a symbol of home and wartime defence, but they have so much more to offer, including breathtaking views, a tranquil walk, a diverse range of wildlife, a rich history, and, most importantly, two tea rooms serving delectable treats. Enjoy a three-mile walk along the coast whilst taking in the fresh sea air.
Walk from Margate to Broadstairs. Between these two main Kent towns, this walk covers a stretch of the Thanet Coastal Path. You'll pass by several beautiful beaches and bays, including the well-known Botany Bay. It's also a place with ties to Charles Dickens, with the walk passing through Bleak House, the famed 19th-century author's former home.
