A great (8/10) walk through rural countryside, lots of woods and the furnace lakes. We did this in the sleet and the snow in February when it was an absolute mud-fest (wellies not walking boots), but still really enjoyed it, so are already looking forward to walking it in the Summer.

Great hike, 100miles. Completed 75 miles of the route plus 8 miles detoured of the trail. Unfortunately got bad feet blisters and injuries and had to abandon at Housedean Farm. Looking forward to return to Housedean Farm to complete South Downs Way. Thank you for sharing the route, very accurate, better than the A to Z South Downs Way Map
