Visit The Popular Beeston & Peckforton Castle
Walk around Peckforton Castle where you'll get to experience a part of ancient history. Start by visiting the gatehouse lodge and follow the trail towards the Castle. Pass through the surrounding woods before entering via an open carriageway, where adventure awaits. The Old historic Castle was built in the nineteenth century however, today it is used as a hotel. There are multiple walking routes here, try the Beeston Castle to Peckforton Castle trail which combines two of Cheshire's finest historic landmarks and stretches over the Sandstone Trail, a well-known long-distance trail, as well as through the Peckforton Estate's tranquil forest pathways. For a long-distance walk, continue on to Bulkeley Hill Woodland Trust.
