From Teggs Reservoir Carpark, through Macclesfield Forest and on to Lamaload Reservoir. Return via Gritstone Trail and Teggs Nose Visitor Centre.

Stage 1 of the Round Manchester Hiking Trail:  Macclesfield to Wilmslow via the Armada Beacon

This is a a fairly easy circular walk through Thursbitch Valley up to Shining Tor - the highest point in Cheshire with spectacular views.

This is a Walking with Wheels circular ramble around the parkland at Tatton Park – acres of landscaped deer park, woodland, meres and farmland. Suitable for a large mobility scooter.

A circular route with spectacular views going up to the top of Shutlingsloe and down the other side. The first half is on good firm paths, but the return route is more difficult with some boggy areas.

The start and end point of this route is not a footpath, you can follow the official footpath to the A50 if preferred. The route is flat, but has several stiles and stream crossings and some of the going is marshy so a walk that is better in dry weather. There is a fair amount of roadwork as the drive from Ullard Hall farm to Ullard Hall Lane is long as well as the lane itsel until you reach the footpath that returns you to Toft Hall. However, it is a no through road so very quiet apart from occasional farm traffic. The highlight of the walk is to see Toft Hall from behind. It is an impressive house. The walk is very convenient to Knutsford and a good alternative to Tatton Park if you want to avoid the crowds.
