Today is special as you take a ferry ride to Rangitoto, a volcanic island. Then take a walk to the summit for stunning views over other islands and Auckland City. Picnic at the summit.

Walk from Glen Innes to Roberta Reserve. Couple of diversions due to construction work but a lovely walk largely through quiet and underused parkland.

Nice bush walk, not a lot of views until you get to the waterfall. Starts with a steady incline to the top then its a peaceful walk along the top, down to the waterfall and then along the river. Waterfall is a great place for a swim, cold but refreshing.

A flat and easy walking track, no elevation. Following a shared path on the shore line and across the old harbour bridge to the beach, then return. Bird sanctuary's along the way and loads history plaques to keep you informed. Approx 2hrs return walking.
