North Yorkshire’s coast is home to a handful of beautiful and picturesque seaside towns and villages, clinging to the rock edge and scattered down the coastline, these charming places are well worth visiting.
Whitby is famous for inspiring Bram Stocker’s Dracula, this bustling seaside town has bags of charm and personality, from the hectic harbor to the peaceful beaches, you will find endless amounts of medieval history and intriguing delights. If you want to taste the best fish and chips in England, you may need to book yourself a visit.
Bridlington is nicknamed the ‘Lobster capital of Europe’. With two sandy beaches running down the coastline, and a bustling harbor set in between, visit the gorgeous promenades, venture into the old town or experience the amusements and fun-fair. The north York moors is a wonderland of beauty and tranquility. Comprising of 1400 miles of land, this stunning area is home to a whole host of natural delight including heather moorland, pine forest and rolling hills. Surely, one of Britain’s most extraordinary places, you will find endless opportunity to stroll, hike, clamber or bike across this stunning national park.
Dotted around the North York Moors, you will find small villages that are well worth exploring. Usually equipped with that all-important café or rest stop, these beautiful places are usually connected by trails, walkways and paths. Helmsley, Pickering and Kirkbymoorside to name just a few.
