Review on Montreux- Rochers de Naye by Marc

Wow what a spectacular summit, with mountain ranges to one side and views of Lac Leman on the other. From Montreux: Arrive by train and immediately look for the way to Glion either through the beautiful Gorges du Chauderon (~3.5km) or up 1055 steps on Sentier du Telegraphe. From Glion to Caux there is another ~3.5 km. From Caux to the summit there is another ~4km. So 10+km per direction. Altitudes are as follows: ~500m at Montreux station; Glion ~700m, Caux at 1500m, and Rochers de Naye at 2000m. Alternatives: From Montreux you can take the train all the way to Glion or even Caux and just do the summit. A funicular from Territet in Montreux to Glion also is available. Actually you can even train up to the summit and walk down (or vice/versa but check schedules).
