Island hopping in the Finnish archipelago

One of the most popular tourist routes in Finland is the Archipelago Trail. On the network of roads, bridges and ferries about 20,000 visitors travel by car, motorbike or of course bike each summer. Depending on the route chosen, the road sections cover 160 km to 190 km and the crossings from island to island 30 km to 50 km. The route is made for cyclists, as cars are slower due to the winding roads. Cyclists should also take enough time to enjoy the surroundings, as the views often change: from rocky islets to the green landscape of the inner archipelago with its wooden houses to countless small bridges and ferries.
