Ethiopia

The nine UNESCO World Heritage Sites make the country on the Horn of Africa a popular travel destination. The Historic Route takes you through the north of Ethiopia in the footsteps of the first humans. It makes stops in cultural centers such as Bahir Dar on Lake Tana, Axam, Lalibela and Gondar. Also worth a visit are the impressive mountain scenery in Simien National Park and the Tiss Issat waterfalls. The capital Addis Ababa is one of the largest metropolises in Africa and offers numerous historical and cultural sights.
