The West African state of Benin has a wide variety of natural environments: from beaches and lagoons in the south to vast swamps, agricultural plains and savannahs, and the Atakora Mountains in the northeast. Pendjari National Park is one of the few nature reserves in West Africa that is home to elephants, cheetahs and lions. Safari tours can be taken there. The Kota waterfalls south of Natitingou are also beautiful to look at.
DUE TO THE UNCERTAIN POLITICAL SITUATION, TRAVELLING TO THE REGION ALIBORI AND THE BORDER AREA TO BURKINA FASO AND NIGER IS NOT RECOMMENDED!
