The natural landscape of Angola is extremely diverse. In the north there is tropical rainforest, the centre is characterised by tree and grass savannahs, and there is a desert strip on the border with Namibia. The former Portuguese colony became world famous as an oil supplier in the 2000s. Since then, Angola's capital Luanda is one of the most expensive metropolises in the world. Among the most popular sights is the viewpoint "Miradouro de Lua", which offers a view of a spectacular sandstone landscape. The Kalandula Waterfalls in the interior of the country need not fear comparison with the Victoria Falls. And in Kissama National Park you can go on unforgettable safari tours.
