Bike rides in Wrexham

Whitchurch to Ellesmere, via a variety of villages and roadways. Couple of stints on the canal. Stop off at Colmere Lake and The Mere enroute.

Up and down dale... some very small and probably quite rough lanes. Some longer drags and some short sharp hills.

Follows the Canal & traverses two aquaducts but there is a bypass for Pontcysyllte Aqueduct via road bridge and up some steps on Offas path if you are scared of heights.

The standard canal route from Chirk to Llangollen with an additional climb and view points

A Road cycle that forms a horseshoe from the station at Pennyffordd Over the Llandegla moors then up to Horseshoe pass and down into Llangollen. Then on to Wrexham for a train back

The first part of this route is along a rail trail. It's beautiful, but unpaved. We got a flat.

The route starts in Chester and heads out to North Wales. After a 9 mile warm up there is a steep ascent of Hope Mountain, with excellent views from the top. Following a steep decent, the remaining 35 miles or so are through gently undulation North Wales and Cheshire countryside on B/minor roads.

This route follows close to the historic Offa's Dyke on B roads and minor roads suitable for a road bike.
