Bike rides in Surrey

This 406 km-long cycle route links 2 European capitals, Paris and London, via Normandy and the cross-border ferry link from Newhaven to Dieppe. You will cycle through eight counties, notably Eure and Seine-Maritime.

The route follows the Thames Path from Walton-on-Thames to Hampton Court and the on to Bushy Park, returning along the Thames Path.

50km off road and quite lanes loop - can be muddy and parts low with pedestrians..

This route starts at the car park at Walton Bridge and then follows the Thames Path to Teddington Bridge, where it turns towards Richmond Park. Onto Richmond Park and all the way across the park before returning on the the same path.

Eine Urlaubs - Radtour von London über Englands Südosten und Belgien zurück nach Deutschland bis Eisfeld an der Werra. Achtung Linksverkehr in England! Man gewöhnt sich aber ziemlich schnell daran. London by Bike war angenehmer als ich vorher dachte. Man ist als Radler auch nicht allein, auf manchen Strassen „schwimmt“ man förmlich mit den anderen Radfahren durch die Stadt. Die in England von uns teilweise befahrenen Radwege 4/20/2 waren bis auf Ausnahmen gut beschildert. Die Routenführung dieser, ist aber manchmal schon etwas fragwürdig. In Belgien verlief unsere Tour total flach, meist entlang von Kanälen oder Flüssen, wenn nicht gerade eine „Omlegging“ uns vom Weg abdrängte. Die Knooppunten, sowie die Schilder der LF Routen wiesen uns immer den richtigen Weg. Die Altstädte von Brügge und Gent sind sehr schön und waren deshalb wohl auch voller Menschenmassen. Ein Radweg direkt an der N278 führte uns den kleinen Zipfel der Niederlande von Maastricht bis an die Grenze bei Vaals.   Von Aachen bis an den Rhein ging’s „Querbeet“. Weiter entlang des Rhein- und Lahntalradweges bis Gießen. Ab hier bis zur Werra nahmen wir den R7. (Ein großes Lob an die Macher, super beschildert und geführt). Auf dem Werraradweg nahmen wir die letzten Kilometer bis Eisfeld.

London Ride 100 route as ridden in 2013. 3 hills late on in the ride in Surry before returning to London

From SW13 out to Newlands Corner via Esher and Cobham. Then continuing to Abinger and over to Leith Hill from the South. Continuing to Dorking and Box Hill. Then home via Leatherhead, Oxshott and Kingston

33 mile-ish loop in forgotten corner of West Sussex Weald; many quiet roads and a 1/2 mile section of loose gravel track. Fabulous landscape, passing nature reserves at The Mens and Ebernoe Common.
