Bike rides in Éislek, the north of Luxembourg

For over a century the Vennbahn was the link between Aachen and the north of Luxembourg, now it is one of the longest cross-border railway cycle paths in Europe.

Drei Länder – ein Fluss: Beim Radwandern auf dem RurUfer-Radweg zwischen der Quelle im Hohen Venn bei Botrange (Belgien) und der Mündung in die Maas bei Roermond (Niederlande) ist die Rur ihr ständiger Weggefährte.

Über ein Jahrhundert lang war die Vennbahn die eiserne Verbindung zwischen Aachen und dem Norden Luxemburgs, nun gehört sie zu den längsten und schönsten grenzüberschreitenden Bahntrassenradwegen Europas. Die dritte gut 32 km umfassende Tagesetappe führt von St. Vith durch das idyllische Ourtal bis nach Troisvierges. One of the longest cross-border rail trails in Europe, leading through three countries: Germany, Belgium, and Luxembourg, 125 km long, almost completely asphalted.

Starting from Reuland Castle, Lengeler tunnel will bring you straight into Luxembourg. An appealing educational bat trail has been set up on the Luxembourg side of the tunnel.

Cycle path du Nord: Troisvierges-Huldange (PC 21) starts in Troisvierges and enters Belgian territory near the "Schmëtt".

Mal auf luxemburgischer mal auf deutscher Seite begleitet der Radweg die Sauer auf ihrem Weg von Wasserbillig über Echternach und Bollendorf bis Ettelbrück (Luxemburg).   

The Attert cycle route (PC 12) starts off at Pétange, and follows the tracks of the old Attert line, the railway branch that used to connect Pétange and Ettelbruck.

The Alzette cycle path (PC 15) links the Centre circuit (PC1) in Dommeldange and the Sûre Moyenne cycle path (PC16) in Ettelbruck, passing through Steinsel, Lintgen and Mersch.

Thy cycle path des Ardennes (PC 22) offers splendid views over the heights of the Luxembourg Ardennes.
