Beinahe 50 Jahre trennte der Eiserne Vorhang "Ost" von "West". In einem einmaligen Projekt, dem EuroVelo 13, wurde die Teilung des europäischen Kontinents als Radwanderweg "Iron Curtain Trail" im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes "erfahrbar" gemacht. Auf einer Gesamtlänge von 287,2 km führt ein Teil des ICT durch das Burgenland und Ungarn. Dabei reihen sich historisch interessante Stätten, wie das Schloss Halbturn, die Brücke von Andau, der Nationalpark Neusiedler See - Seewinkel, der Paneuropäische Picknickplatz und die St. Emmerichs-Kirche gleich einer Perlenkette aneinander.
