Bicycle tours in Littoral

The former narrow-gauge railway line between Trieste and Porec, which operated between 1902 and 1935, and was known as Porečanka. It is now one of the most popular cycling trails.

The cycle tour covers a total of 417 km from the Slovenian Adriatic coast via Trento, Grado and Venice to the seaport of Chioggia in Veneto. The scenic route is made up of a total of three paths: the Emerald Path, the Path of Merchants and Cows and the Path of the Serenissima.

THE JULIANA BIKE MOUNTAIN BIKING LOOP is the younger sister of the Juliana Trail and is basically the part of the Slovenian Mountain Biking Route; however, it functions as a loop and is an independent trail that runs along the edges of the Julian Alps. A beautiful cross-border itinerary departs from Gorizia and enters in Slovenia in the Soča river valley along the recently completed cycle track. It skirts the river closely and, by remaining elevated, the view can be admired in many places.

The Collio Brda Classic is a cross-border Italian-Slovenian cycling race, part of the Giro d'Italia d'Epocacircuit, dedicated exclusively to cyclists with vintage bikes and cycling uniforms. It takes place in Septemberin the lands of the Italian and Slovenian Collio (Brda), home of the famous white wines: enchanting hills andplateaus covered with vineyards, dotted with small villages where wine and other gastronomic products areproduced.

Two days biking, with the idea to get to Jesenice by train, ride two days through the wonderful alpine and pre-alpine countryside and finish in Nova Gorica, which has again the train connection to Jesenice.
